The Dallas Experience

Ever since I was eight, on my birthday, my family and I have always gone to the Dallas area to celebrate. This is what has happened to me over the years.

Every year, it seemed like an eternity before my parents and I got to Dallas, but we would finally get there soon enough. Once we were there, it was time to have some fun!

Every year, we would wake up at the crack of dawn to have one of my favorite breakfasts, a bacon & ham omelet, then we would get moving. In 2008, 2009, and 2012, we stayed in Grapevine and went to the Grapevine Mills Mall. When I was younger, we would walk all around the mall, buy some new clothes and shoes, go look in all the stores, and then go indoor rock climbing and trampoline jumping. In 2012, all I did was walk around the mall, but then later went to my favorite restaurants around town.

The year 2008 was special because I went to the Rainforest Cafe, and since it was my 8th birthday, I got to have a special sundae! That year, so far, is my favorite year in Grapevine.

In 2010 and 2011, we all went to Frisco on my birthday. Both years, I got to go to my favorite restaurants and go to Dave & Buster’s, all in the Frisco Mall. In 2010, this was my first year to go to Frisco, and I was curious about what would be in store for me. When I went to Dave & Buster’s my first time, I won 6,000 tickets! I was happier than ever. Then I got to explore the new mall, and I liked all of the stores in the mall. In 2011, I had the same experience, except at the end of the trip, I had a total of 17,500 tickets saved up from Dave & Buster’s.

Unlike all the other years, in 2011, the week after my birthday, we went to Arlington to go to Six Flags! I rode all of the high thrill rides there. My favorite ride there was Titan because it was the tallest and fastest roller coaster there! Riding it was exhilarating and made my heart beat out of my chest. That was undoubtedly one of the best times I have had in Frisco so far.

The overall experience these past few years has been amazing, and I am very thankful to have taken all those trips. Whenever I go to Dallas, I feel like I am on top of the world. I am also very thankful for everything I have gotten for my birthday. I still have had many other good times in other places besides Dallas. You can have a good time anywhere if you have fun!

I hope there will be more surprises in Dallas to come!
